Following recent government announcements and guidelines, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Literature Festival events due to take place this March. With the Covid situation as it is, there are too many concerns for us to have any confidence that we can safely welcome you to events, even with social-distancing measures ready and in place.
Given the above we will be moving events to the following new dates:
1.THURSDAY 15th JULY 2021 (as part of our summer festival)
- Amanda Owen – The Yorkshire Shepherdess (taking place in Lichfield Cathedral, in the evening).
2.THURSDAY 9th – SUNDAY 12th SEPTEMBER 2021 (as part of our 2021 Literature Festival)

- Henry Hitchings – Why Samuel Johnson Still Matters
- Anna Levin – Incandescent
- Raffi Berg – Red Sea Spies

- Craig Glenday – Guinness World Records
- Phil Cartwright – Red Mist: Football’s most shocking moments
- Susannah Stapleton – The Adventures of Maud West, Lady Detective
- Beth Lynch – Where the Hornbeam Grows
- The Poetry Slam
3.SUNDAY 19th SEPTEMBER 2021
- Lucy Diamond – Afternoon Tea at Swinfen Hall
If you already have tickets for these events, these will automatically be transferred to the new dates. Specific venues/times/dates for each author will follow.
We have emailed ticket holders whom we have contact details for – if you haven’t received an email please let us know at info@lichfieldfestival.org saying which event(s) you have tickets for so we can make sure we keep you updated.
